TAP ROOM, BIERGARTEN, BREWERY

Full pours with Bavarian street food for on-site consumption and cans to go. Communal tables, counter and table service, it's a place to socialize with friends or meet new ones while grabbing a beer and a bite.

Open year-round (snow, sun, whatever), our 2000 sq ft Biergarten has a seating capacity of 200. Heaters in the winter, umbrellas in the summer, as well as additional seating on the harborwalk.

We hope that our brewery will provide customers a way to see the unique brewing processes and equipment we use - a traditional decoction brew-house, open and closed fermentation, horizontal lagering tanks, German gravity cask dispensing, and the very first Lukr draft system installed in North American and imported from the Czech Republic – tools, process and equipment that will allow a wide variety of lager and continental beer.

Notes: The most widely consumed beer style in the country that consumes the most beer in the world. Brewed with floor-malted Czech barley and Saaz hops. Triple decocted, open fermented, naturally carbonated, lagered forever.

POLOTMAVÝ

Czech Amber Lager || 4.2% || 0.5L Czech Mug || 11° P
Taste: Toast, Caramel, bread
Notes: Polotmavy is Czech for “half-dark,” this 11° Plato Czech Amber Lager is brewed with Czech floor malted pils Vienna and Munich malts for notes of toast, caramel and bread. Czech Sladek hops balance out the malt and provide a spicy finish. This beer also undergoes a unique mashing schedule known as an enhanced double decoction for a more complex malt flavor. Open fermented, naturally carbonated, lagered forever

Taste: Sweet Dried Fruit, Toasted Dark Bread, Dry Finish
Notes: Tmavy is Czech for "dark". Double decocted, open fermented, naturally carbonated, lagered forever.

Munich-style Dark Lager || 5.2% || Willi Becher
Taste: Bread Crust, Caramel, Toast
Notes: Our Munich Dark Lager uses 100% Munich malt with a unique mashing process known as an enhanced double decoction. Notes of bread crust,
caramel, and toast with an aroma of toasted dark bread from the Munich malt. Dunkel was the most widely consumed lager in Bavaria previous to pale lager taking over.

DUNKEL WEIZEN

Bavarian Dark Wheat Bier || 5.2% || Weisse Glass
Taste: Bread Pudding, Clove, Caramelized Banana
Notes: Caramelized banana flavors and strong clove aromas with hints of vanilla. This full bodied, low bitterness beer is delicious and creamy yet with a refreshing finish from high carbonation. Dunkel = Dark, Weizen = Wheat

HEFE WEISSE

Bavarian Wheat Bier || 5.2% || 0.5L Weisse Glass
Taste: Clove, Banana, Full-bodied
Notes: Classic Bavarian wheat beer and one of the most technically challenging beers we make. Open fermented for maximum aroma and flavor, with clove and banana aromas formed from the unique Bavarian yeast.

RYE MOON

Amber Rye Hefe || 5.0% || 0.5L Weisse Glass
Taste: Clove, Banana, Earthy Spice, Fruity 
Notes: Our 2026 collaboration with Die With Your Boots On was inspired by the red moon solstice. Rye Moon is based on our Hefe recipe but substitutes the wheat malt for rye malt and fermented with our house hefe yeast to give this beer an earthy-spicy backbone from the rye to complement the clove/banana aroma and flavors that comes out in our hefe beers.

SALEM LAGER

Bavarian Helles || 4.5% || Willi Becher
Taste: Bright, Clean, Subtle Sweetness
Notes: A classic style from Munich, and what the Bavarians created after the Czech’s discovered Pilsner. Less hoppy than the Pilsner, Helles is malt driven and the flavor is clean and bright.

SOMMER KELLERBIER

Franconian Pale Lager  ||  4.5%  || 0.5L Willi Becher
Taste: Malty, Herbal, Pepper
Notes: Kellebier, Zwickel, Ungespundet and Landbier are often used interchangeably in Bavaria, and the designation is usually determined by region or the brewer's whim. But these beers share similar traits in that they are not filtered (or fined),which results in a slight haze, and they are mostly served on draft. Our Kellerbier is a pale version with a slightly higher ABV than our Zwickelbier, and carries a bigger, firmer maltiness.

Taste: Pepper, Floral, Mild sweetness, dry 
Notes: The Mule uses the Valley’s Malt Standard Pilsner malt and malted Maize from Hadley Massachusetts. Hopped with American Sterling hops and also dry hopped post fermentation  with Crystal hops for an earthy, woody spice and subtle floral notes.

Notes:  Brewed with 100% Bavarian heirloom Pils malt, Perle, and Spalter Select hops and fermented with a classic bavarian yeast strain. German Afternoons has an upfront malt fullness that quickly leads to a pleasant drying balanced bitterness. The floral hop aroma comes from Notch's favorite German variety - Spalter Select. Named for the John Prine album, a German Afternoon is a spontaneous afternoon spent enjoying yourself, with a beer or two, instead of doing the errands or chores you "should" be doing.

Notes: Triple decocted pale lager, dry hopped with Polish Lubelski hops. Salem had a long history of Polish immigration, particularly the area around Notch, and the beer is named after our head brewer/founder Chris’ family (Lojko, from Warsaw Poland). We are a nation built on the backs of immigrants, cheers to us! Na Zdrowie!

Cologne-style Kölsch || 4.5%
Taste: Bread, Fruit, Biscuit
Notes: Medium in body with a soft mouthfeel and a straw yellow or pale gold color, Kölsch has a spicy, herbal Noble hop bitterness that is medium to slightly assertive—less than a Pilsner, but not by much. A somewhat fruity or vinous (grape-y from malts) quality and a crisp, dryish finish make up the rest of the flavor profile.
